Great place every to visit! We took a spontaneous trip to the muesum today and it was a sight to see. We toured the inside of the muesum as well as the outside sculptures as outside sculptures. Our 6 year old loved it and they even had a painting activity for her in an art room. Very clean space, attentive staff, and we even dropped our bag and coats on a table/chair which they kept watch over so there was no accidents in the sculpture area. Definitely will revisit in the future.
Very knowledgeable staff, great place to bring a family, or a school group. They always seem to bring in very interesting exhibits, and do a very good job of presenting them.
Museum is beautiful! The Art of Oaxaca exhibit is stunning!
SVSU is blessed to have this museum located on campus. For those who don't know of him, one of Fredrick's more recognizable sculptures would be 'The Spirit of Detroit' that sits in front of City Hall in Detroit. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check out the museum and wander campus to check out those sculptures as well.
Nice Museum. They exhibited a Very nice collection of Mexican Artwork from Oaxaca. We had a good time. Only disappointment was the availability of Small relatively inexpensive Art Pieces.
